What On Earth Am I Doing?

Time.  We all get the same amount.  It is the great equalizer.  The older I get, the more I value time.  Time with God, time with my family, time connecting with people, time to rest, time to live out and do the will of God in my life.  I want to make every day count.  I don’t want to miss the moments that come my way.  I want to live with the awareness of God in me and see God working in the people around me.   I am sure you do as well.  We were born for great things.  Sometimes we forget this. God has a purpose and a plan for each of us.  It is a great time to be alive and worship God.  

We live in a world where everyone seems to be so busy doing things that are urgent but not important.  People pursue things that offer temporal pleasure, but have no eternal value and wonder why they feel empty inside.  We sometimes pursue things that we think will add value, identity or significance to our lives.  But, although these things are not bad, it is our purposeful relationship with God that brings the significance and identity that we sometimes seek elsewhere.  God knows us and speaks into the very core of who we are, and why we are alive now, today in this world.  He sends us out to serve, to love and to change the world around us.  

The bible says that we are wise if we are careful how we live.  The bible says that we are wise if we don’t waste our lives, but make the most of every opportunity.  We are wise when we understand God’s will.  God calls us first and foremost to love Him, to follow Him and to serve Him in everything we do. 

God has a great plan and a purpose for your life.  Determine to live on purpose.   Start today.   Listen to the voice of your creator.  Spend time  with God and ask God to show you the plans that He has for you.   Where there has been disappointment, allow God to bring hope, life and purpose.   

Ephesians 5:15-17

Be very careful then how you live, not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity.  Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
